ATI pharmacology

Published

Hi all! I have the pharmacology ATI next week and I am very nervous about it. I have taken and retaken all the practice assessments, however, I don't have enough time to go through the entire book. Has this worked for y'all? Should I focus on anything in particular? Thanks!

My flashcards... freely downloadable from AllNurses.com... got me through Pharm ATI...

I used the ATI pharm book. I really focused on cardiac, respiratory, and endocrine meds. Also know your lab values!! Got through just fine. Good luck!

I used the ATI pharm book
That's how I created my flashcards... page-by-page through the ATI book (with some input from Lippincott's Illustrated Review and Davis Drug Guide)
Specializes in L&D, infusion, urology.

Know dig toxicity. Know the parts of generic names that give away the type of drug. Sometimes you can look at the trade name as well to get a sense of what kind of drug it is. Pharm is definitely one of my weak points, but these little things really helped me.

Go over the rationales of the practice tests and look up EVERYTHING you don't know well. It's unrealistic that you'll know every drug, every side effect, every interaction. Just do the best you can. Relax when you sit down to test!! Good luck!

Did you pass your pharm ATI test? What was your percentage and level?

Me?

I passed... One of two at the highest level... The other was a drug rep.
