ATI Fundamentals exam

Nursing Students Student Assist

Hello everyone,

This is the 1st time I am posting because I am desperate to know what you all studied for the ATI Exam (fundamentals). We were given this very extensive topics list at our school (Truman college-Chicago). Our school did HESI before so I can't even ask the 2nd year students. Anyone taken this? Anyone recall what was on it?

THANKS

Good luck on your exam. Per the Terms of Service of the site, members cannot share test content, but maybe some will share what they found helpful for studying.

Ok, I'm sorry I didn't know. i guess I just need pointers then.

On the ATI website there are practice exams you can take. Go to my eLearning and there are three tabs click the tutorials tab and its under review or something like that. There should be a couple on there. Also, read your ATI book! These are tough test! good luck!!

I would do the practice exams and also study the book. I took it a couple semesters ago and thats how I studied for it. Good Luck!

I have to take an ATI exam too (Monday) and they sent us an email saying all the material in the ATI fundamentals book (dont know if you got one) will be on the test even stuff we didn't go over.... Does your grade go toward your final exam score too

Make sure you read the RN review Fundamentals E-book. Ready it from front to back, the content will literally come from the book!

My advice would be to take the practice exams and read the rationale about the answers. We had to get a level 2 and I was able to get a level 3. The practice exams made all the difference.

Thanks for getting back to me. Was the exam similar to the practice tests? I took thge practice exams and didn't do so well, but the website doesn't let you take it again for another 72 hours.

Yes, it is 2.5% of our final grade. I don't know how my teacher is calculating our score but I have a pretty solid B right now. We have to get a 68.3 to pass.

i have the paper version of the fundamentals book and i am currently reading it from front to back. i hope you are right if i don't pass this test, regardless of my passing grade in the class i will have to take a remediate class in the summer.

thanks for the info.

I took my ATI Fundamentals exam about three weeks ago and got a Level 3...the highest level. I split the book up and read so many chapters a night, did the ATI questions in the book as well as the practice exams my school put out for us to do. The night before the exam I went back thru the book and read areas I had highlighted for a quick review.

My school did not give us a list of areas to concentrate on...everything was fair game.

Best of luck!
