My school used ati. Had to score a 70.7 on the predictor in order to graduate... It was crazy...but all I did was practice ari questions and write down rationales on paper because that's the best way I learned. Most ati questions are verbatim of what's already there go by stable vs unstable. Expected vs unexpected. Acute vs chronic. When answering the more less obvious questions. You have to know the Patho behind the disease it will ask you. It's very difficult but you can do it.
Hi,
I had ATI as well but remember that ATI is simply a guide. It may say you are not ready but how do you feel? I know a lot of my peers didn't even go through ATI because they felt that it wasn't helpful. I certainly didn't want to go through it either because the questions on ATI are not NCLEX-style questions that I found on the NCLEX. Not to say it was not helpful, it was great for content and certainly some questions were challenging but it should not be your sole resource to go to in studying for the NCLEX. My suggestion to you is to practice NCLEX-style questions. You will see there is a huge different how ATI words their questions in relation to when you encounter an NCLEX question. If you want to use ATI effectively, write down all the problem areas you had when taking the predictor and practice questions. Good luck :)
I'm not sure if this if this is the right group or not, but my school requires a 92% or better to graduate. I took the practice test and made 68%. (Not the converted one) what can I do to study for it?
I took the practice tests, making sure that I studied topics that I was weaker in. I also downloaded the ATI RN Mentor app on my phone, which gives you a ton of questions from ATI. I also attended the ATI Live Review and read the review book they gave us.
With all of that being said, I scored a 98% probability of passing NCLEX the first time. Study hard and you will be fine. Good luck!
