My name is Alex, and I am nearing completion of the 2014 Post-Bacc BSN program at Arizona State University (ASU). I had created a thread last year regarding the application and admissions process, and classmates from the 2013 rotation were very receptive and helpful for us - so I wanted to return the favor to the incoming class!

No she did not. I'm also in the thread for the traditional program and someone called today and were told emails won't go out until end of the week?? Who knows... And the wait continues
Post-baccs are always evaluated before the traditional program. This is because some of the people who don't make it may be offered a spot in the traditional program. Tomorrow sounds like it will probably be decision day for most of you, and it is sure to be the most nerve racking and longest day ever until those results come in! Imagine having to wait by the mailbox like we all had to last year! Chins up, and blow the thread up with your results once you get them! Let me know when your orientation day is, and I can work on getting a few of us together to talk to you all and introduce you to the program!
Mrp85 that's way interesting!! I actually looked at the classes the other day and there were only 40... So they added 8 more?! Hopefully that means good news for us. The traditional track got their emails today. Hopefully we hear something tomorrow
I am one of the Post-Bacc students right now. Yep! Looks like 48 spots. NUR 356 has 48 and there are 6 NUR 366 (with 8 students in each). NUR 330 has 48. and NUR 311 has 48. These classes will be taken in the first semester. Good Luck!
Who else got in?! I got into past-bac and traditional and I'm torn!! I originally wanted to get through school quickly to work but now I'm worried that not working as a CNA during the school will make it that much harder to find jobs after graduation? which I hear is a problem... thoughts?
I didn't work through the program, and I was just hired as a PCT at the hospital I want to work at after clinical rotations. I've been there for about a month and a half. A couple of my classmates stayed working during the program, one even as a CNA/PCT. I can't speak to how things are going to pan out after graduation, but all of the folks from the 2014 class that I have kept in touch with got hired quickly and some even before passing their NCLEX. It is ultimately your decision, but keep your end goal in mind! And CONGRATULATIONS!!!
