  1. I did general chem at UCSD extension- I did the class + lab. It's a reasonable workload, and was able to pull good grades in both. I did an intro to physics class through a community college (way cheaper). UC Berkeley extension is another good option. I took physiology and had a great experience. On the other hand...I'm currently taking biochem there...it's self paced but can be frustrating with how the module is locked until everything from the prior one is graded. The instructor I have takes FOREVER to grade- syllabus says they can take up to 7 days, and is a very hard grader. You also have to score 70% or higher on the final or you fail the class, and I've read some reviews that people are surprised to find they fail the course.
  2. I think there were around 50 interviewed for 24(ish) spots. My friend currently in the program said loans are available but not really any scholarships. She also said in her cohort there were like 4 people who were from the alternate list. Sooo maybe? I'm not hopeful though and plan to reapply next year
  3. In the group interview- the program director said by the new year if not a little sooner... said they always pull off the waitlist as well. If you go back and look at the last few years, our timelines are similar and they found out between the 16-20th. Best of luck!!
  4. What are you doing to prep? I believe tonight is just an informal session for introductions and questions. Wishing everyone luck!
  5. I agree. I was so impressed by their communication throughout the application process- but this part now just feels like torture ?
  6. Congratulations! Nothing on my end- but super happy for you
  7. I have a feeling the psychological torture is going to continue until the first week of November ?
  8. I applied here as well. I am not expecting an interview. Applying was a very last minute decision and I did POORLY on my GRE. But still wishing everyone luck. Those STATS that someone posted feel somewhat reassuring though?
  9. My gut tells me how it's going to work out for me- but I'm wishing everyone so much luck! Hang in there the next few weeks ?
  10. I agree that the wording of one of the questions threw me off which set me up to not be well articulated going forward. They also asked me about my test scores which I didn't think were required... and I did not send my scores to LLU... sooo what??
  11. I too left the interview feeling very defeated. But now feeling really defeated because they did not ask me about the whiteboard!!
