ASU Post-Baccalaureate BSN 2015 - Welcome

U.S.A. Arizona

Hello everyone!

My name is Alex, and I am nearing completion of the 2014 Post-Bacc BSN program at Arizona State University (ASU). I had created a thread last year regarding the application and admissions process, and classmates from the 2013 rotation were very receptive and helpful for us - so I wanted to return the favor to the incoming class!

If you all have any questions regarding any part of the process or curriculum, let me know! I'll also notify the classmates for their input.

Thank you for the advice! Sorry I couldn't PM you it won't let me for some reason.

Once a page is created can you let us know the name? Thanks!

Yay I'm excited for the FB page!

Ok guys, go to my profile on this site and click the "about" tab and add me on facebook (you must be logged into your facebook to see my profile). Once you add me I will send you a link to our class facebook group!

Hello to all,

I realize this thread was for the 2015 year of the program but I am looking into applying for 2016 and had a question for anyone who'd like to give input. I currently live in Tucson and relocation is really not an option, however, I was curious how difficult commuting might be? I suppose what I'm really getting at is what the schedule is like in general? Thanks to anyone who provides their wisdom.

Hi Twildcattk,

I personally think commuting from Tucson would be really hard. The program is fast so there is class/lab/clinical M-F. And many of those days we have to be downtown by 7:30am. Most weeks you can get away with not attending classes on Wednesday (fall semester) because they have a large online component, but that isn't always the case. I believe summer semester is M-F as well, and it lets up a little bit in Fall as it winds down. So you'd be driving a lot! That being said the program brings in some really exceptional students so if you stayed dedicated it could work, you just might not be sleeping much! Hope this helps.
