I just took my TEAS test and turned in my application today
Im applying with a 3.90 Select GPA, and a 90.7% on the TEAS,
If I calculated that right I will have a score of 5.714, I am feeling slightly confident, but the competition will be stiff this cycle with only 60 spots open. I don't want to get excited yet to find out, that mysteriously that everyone else is applying with a 4.0's and better TEAS scores
Here's some information on past cutoff scores:
Summer2011 - 5.545
Spring2011 - 5.597
Fall2010 - 5.569
Summer2010 - 5.491
I hope that I make it, I'm a little bummed out that I didn't get to apply with the 4.0, but the 3.9 is without dropping any classes.
So, what kinds of scores is everyone else applying with, so we can all get an idea of where we are. Good luck everyone

May I ask, are you applying for the RN-BSN program?

Hello tgyles,
I am applying with a 4.00 and a 84.7% on the TEAS, so that puts my advancement score at 5.694.
I think you are in a pretty good position, especially considering the previous cutoff scores. I hope I make it too, but I guess only time will tell!
@Lbug: are you also applying for their RN-BSN program?
I'm wishing to apply at their TCPNP and I am getting anxious because some people say that I should take 11 out of the 17 critical courses for the Lower Division at ASU.
@pre-NAUstudent:
I am applying to the BSN program. It is very competitive! From what I understand, starting Spring '11 ASU will give preferential treatment to students who take their pre-req's at ASU. So, I guess the more you take there, the better chance you have at getting in. I am a transfer student and have done all my pre-req's at the community college. I'm not sure what your plan is, but GCC has started a concurrent BSN program with NAU. It might be worth looking into.
Lbug, I think we both have really good odds considering all the previous cut off scores.

yes, it is very difficult for transfer students to get in even with a 3.9 that I have! I would say you should either take at least 11 of your 17 pre-reqs at ASU or apply elsewhere. :) Great BSN program though.
@ Lbug: I am currently taking the critical courses at Rio Saldo CC. I want to pursue the traditional program at NAU, but still have to stick with ASU.
@ kamsmom: aw, you are getting me nervous! :) Even if I wanted to take the critical courses at ASU, I have no choice because it is way too expensive!
Hey kamsmom:
Are you applying for Fall '11? If so, do you mind sharing your advancement score?
P.S. I am also the mom of a Kam! My son's name is Kamren. And I have a daughter, Madisyn
does anyone know the number of people that applied?
