I just took my TEAS test and turned in my application today
Im applying with a 3.90 Select GPA, and a 90.7% on the TEAS,
If I calculated that right I will have a score of 5.714, I am feeling slightly confident, but the competition will be stiff this cycle with only 60 spots open. I don't want to get excited yet to find out, that mysteriously that everyone else is applying with a 4.0's and better TEAS scores
Here's some information on past cutoff scores:
Summer2011 - 5.545
Spring2011 - 5.597
Fall2010 - 5.569
Summer2010 - 5.491
I hope that I make it, I'm a little bummed out that I didn't get to apply with the 4.0, but the 3.9 is without dropping any classes.
So, what kinds of scores is everyone else applying with, so we can all get an idea of where we are. Good luck everyone

NBDickles you are good. My advancement score was 1.796 and I am also an alternate. A friend of mine got in but she is going to gcu instead so that's already 1 spot. Maybe others will fail their drug tests or decide to go somewhere else too! I know there are only 10 people on the alternate list. I just hope I'm not #10 : /
First of all congratulations to those who made it! and for those of you who didnt dont give up!! I am a Sr2 in the ASU nursing program and I'm just curious about how the advancement scores are determined now. When my class was starting our cut off score was 5.68 so thats obviously very different from the 1.807, how are they doing it now?
The TEAS score and the GPA are now worth 1 point. Here's how they worded it in an email:
"Please note: your advancement scores are calculated by combining your Select GPA and your TEAS score. Each component is now worth 1 point, for a highest possible score of 2.00000."
I just wanted to let you know that there is a group on facebook for ALL ASU nursing students ( you must be accepted into the program to join) - I would recommend joining it so you can have access to other nursing students already in the program! SO I have been on the alternate list for Fall 2011 and Spring 2012. I just got a call the on Thursday Dec 1st that a spot opened up and I am FINALLY in the program!!! Woohoo!
