In San Diego/Chula Vista. Does anyone know the pay difference between someone with an associates vs someone with a bsn? Also, SDSU is competative -point system (87 pnts) and 500 applicants to 60-70 actually chosen; Has anyone graduated from there that can share their experience? Has anyone gone to Point Loma Nazarene nursing program? I'm considering it but it is a lot more money... :)

Most places have no difference in pay for bedside nursing, but a few offer amounts such as 50 cents/hour. Some places require a BSN for certain positions (especially management), but many will accept other bachelor's degrees such as psych, sociology, business management, as long as you have any degree in nursing also.
thank you for replying. My goal is to get a bsn but was curious. thank you for replying.:)

I would go ahead and apply to Point Loma Nazarene, too. They might be able to offer you more financial aid than State would. Most private schools also have endowments. I went to a private college in Pennsylvania that was double the price of the public school across town, but in the end, I don't know how much difference there was in what I had to pay.
