I have been out of school for MANY years. Now I am taking my assessment test this week to start my Pre Reqs for RN school. I am so worried about the algebra part. I have never taken algebra and know nothing about it. I went online to look at beginning algebra and it may as well be written in Greek. Will I have to take other classes just to be able to take the Pre Reqs? I am so confused.
I've been out of college for 9 years. The last time I had an algebra class was my sophomore year of high school! I want to avoid the pre-algebra to get to the actual pre-req algebra class, so I've started studying up on it. Hopefully by the time I take my placement test, I'll do well enough! Keep your fingers crossed for me!

I am getting ready to do semester 2 here in Chicago--I am 46 too and just starting on the road to being an RN....working on pre-reqs while working full time....taking it all one step at a time!:)
