  1. Need honest advice... I am 1/3 of the way through AP1 and the teacher gave us our average grade so far last night. Mine is an F!!! Do you think I can fix that? Should I quit? Should I just keep trying and assume I will be retaking the class and will know the material better the next time around? I really study hard and every day. I thought I had done better than that.
  2. Thanks for the tips. I will try them all. I have been putting him last and we have only been married a year and a half. He'll be fine. BUt you are right. I would have a whole set of different problems if he didn't miss me.
  3. Hey all. I am 46 and only in my pre reqs. I know I have a long haul, but I am prepared for it. I don't think my husband is though. He says he is supportive, but I have a feeling he doesn't like it too much. How are your husbands handling it? We don't have any children at home, just us and he is used to ALL of my time.
  4. It is soooo hard. I never realized how difficult learning about bones and muscles could be. Anyway, I will get through this. My first test was really bad, but the next one was ok. Each one will hopefully get better. Anyone going to Valley College?
  5. Hey everyone. I am taking A & P 1, Sociology, Psychology and Pre algebra. I also work a full time job. My kids are grown, thank goodness. I don't know how the mommys do it. I am going to San Bernardino Valley. Anyone going there?
  6. Hello everyone. I am taking A & P 1, Phychology, Sociology and Pre Algebra. Plus I work full time. Kids are all grown, thank goodness. I don't know how the mommys do it. I am 46 and just starting my pre reqs. I am so excited and scared too. Anyone going to San Bernardino Valley?
  7. Hey everyone. I am 46 and starting my pre reqs. I think I am the oldest person in my class. But thats ok. I will be around 50 when I am finally an RN. I figure that still gives me 15 or 20 years of working in the field that I have always wanted to be in. HANG IN THERE.....
  8. A & P Pre algebra psychology (on line) sociology (on line) And I work full time. Whew!!!
  9. Thank you everyone for your help and encouragement. It does help a lot. I am so glad I found this forum.
  10. I guess we are in the same boat. I am 46 and have to take three math classes. What state are you in? I am in california. thanks for writing. It helps to know someone else is doing this right along with me.
  11. Whew!!! I took the assessment test last night. Of course, like I expected, I will have to take a pre req to a pre req of math. But thats ok. So I am signing up for the classes today. Now the work starts.....
  12. Thanks. I guess I will just take the test and see what happens. I will have to guess on the answers and hope my guessing skills are good. Thanks again.
  13. I have been out of school for MANY years. Now I am taking my assessment test this week to start my Pre Reqs for RN school. I am so worried about the algebra part. I have never taken algebra and know nothing about it. I went online to look at beginning algebra and it may as well be written in Greek. Will I have to take other classes just to be able to take the Pre Reqs? I am so confused.
