Asking for a letter of remondation....

I was wondering how you went about asking for a letter of recomendation from one of your professors for the nursing program. I feel very uncomfortable about asking for one and any suggestions would be appreciated. :D

I just went up to a professor from a class that I knew I was getting an A from and asked for a letter of recommendation. If you are doing well and deserve the recommendation there should be no reason to be afraid to ask.

Thanks... I just think I am nervous because the professor that I am wanting to ask is so highly regarded and I know hedoesnt give out many letters of recomendation. IS there a certain time frame when I need to ask him.... in the middle of the semester? or towards the end???
