Schools in!! 21 days and counting! Anyone else starting this month
I start the 8th... But I just found out my husband may be accepting a job that will cause us to have to move out of state. I will have to go through application process all over again in another state if he accepts! Maybe we will end up staying and I can just keep going.

Anyone make into nursing school with a B or C in A&P I
Me. I got accepted with a C in A+P 1 but I also wrote in my essay that I didn't think that grade was indicative of my true performance and stated I was retaking it. I had A's in everything else though. I am currently almost done with my second go around with A+P 1 and have an A so far. Retake it if you feel an A would give you a better advantage.

You will find in the medical field it's always "Watch one, do one and teach one."

Waiting For Spring 2013 Acceptance..Anyone else?
That is how I found out. I was tired of waiting so I called just to see if the letters had been sent out. Instead she told me I had been accepted and should receive the letter in the mail soon.

If I hate being a Cna, should I stop pursuing Nursing?
If you want to work in the OR with surgeons then continue on with your nursing plans. You could get a job in the OR and learn how to circulate. Once you get in there and make connections you can find a doctor that wouldn't mind having an assistant. Then you can go on to get your certification as an RN-First Assist. You would be opposite a surgeon, the responsibility would not be as great as it is if you are a CRNA and you can get the best of both worlds! If you are going to be a CRNA for the money then being a first assist is not going to get you the money. But it seems it would be the better match for what you are looking to do. As for hating being a CNA? I am an LPN and with LPN clinicals I absolutely hated being in the nursing home. I don't like working with the elderly. I hate that I feel that way but that is honestly how I feel. It is okay to feel that way. Geriatrics isn't for everyone. Do what you need to do to get to your end goal and then find a specialty that fits you and your personality. Good Luck!

16 year old in the ADN nursing program, now they're asking me to withdraw? :
I haven't read all of the responses. But I went to an LPN program at a vocational school my junior and senior year of high school. We did all of our clinicals at the local hospital and a few at a nursing home. I was 15 my first year in the program. And I passed my NCLEX-PN when I was 17. I would research the laws and such in your state. Granted this was 17 years ago for me. But I know for a fact that that program still runs around here.
