  1. Dont waste your time and money retaking A&P 1. Just focus on taking A%P 2 which is much easier than A&P 1. having a B+ is a very good grade. Just focus on getting same or better grades in the future. As long as your science grades are B or better you stand a very good chance of getting into the nursing program of your choice.Good Luck!
  2. Turning in your documents on the last day shouldn't be a problem. I had spoken to the director of the nursing program who told me thy had space for forty but were trying to accept fifty. I hope she meant they had space for forty after they had already accepted in house. Now i am really starting to worry.... I will let you know when i hear from them and please let me know if you hear from them also.
  3. Hi Maddyannie CONGRATULATION!!!! I am happy you got in somewhere. I only applied to Caldwell because they are very good. For a new nursing program they have an excellent NCLEX passing rate. They are also very nice. i am feeling we should hear something this weekend. Did you check your Caldwell portal to see the note in the note in the status bar? Mine said a decision has been made...
  4. At least you have options. I only applied to one school. Im sure you will get in. Still holding my breath for Caldwell
  5. After six week of waiting, two nights a go i checked my application status for Caldwell College and it said a decision has been made and that i should be receiving the mail shortly. Why not save us the headache and anxiety of stalking the mail man and just send us an email.. What do you think?
  6. ShyoftheTige what other school did you apply to?
  7. what school did you apply to? I applied to caldwell and im suppose to hear from them on April 15
  8. CONGRATS.!!!! i am happy for you. what school did you apply to? I am waiting to hear from Caldwell...Anyone here waiting to hear from Caldwell college? They said we should hear from them by April 15, so lets see what happens. I checked the school portal for caldwell and the message said they have made a decision on my application and i should be hearing from them shortly by mail. I find my self stalking Caldwell and the mail man...now that is sad. After all this stalking, i hope i get in.
  9. Enjoy your new job and dont let those other over work nurses tell you it is not a real job. They are too busy working there 12 hour shift to be happy for you. Eventually, they will come around.
  10. Before i get off, I just want to say one more thing. If you fail a skill dont get discourage and quit nursing. A student in my class quit nursing be cause she failed her pulse, temperate and temperature skill test off. She was discourage after failing a test off. after all the hard work and sacrifice she made, she walked away from her future. I started this blog so we can support each other and not give up on our dreams. lets take it one test at a time. One bad test is not going to fail you out of nursing. we can do this....I know when we are studying for an exam we feel like its too much but once you pass the exam, pat yourself on the back and and take several hours to yourself. I take the night off every time i take a test. PLEASE DONT GET SCARED OR DISCOURAGE WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER. if you dont understand something in class post it and we will try to figure it out. Everyone who joined this blog is fairly smart....If we were not good student we would not have gotten in to the nursing program. Lets live for our future dream of being a RN. Gook luck on all your future exam!
  11. Hey guys! I guess its my time to give you a low-down since i checked in a week a go. Once again, i had another exam. My first fundamental exam. Didnt receive my grade as yet but im sure i got between an 88 and a 90. could have gotten a better grade but made some silly mistakes. all and all, it wasnt bad. I am not fooling myself the next exam is going to be ten time as hard so im taking one exam at a time. By the way i got a 95.5 in my calculation exam a week a go. I must tell you, it is extremely stressful. I decided to take the night of from reading and studying, i believe i earned. I dont want to go crazy. I have type A personality and if i dont get an A i am upset with myself until the next exam where i can prove myself, but this is nursing and i have to be happy and thank God every time i pass and exam or test off on a skill. So far i have tested off on hand washing, giving a bed bath, making an occupied bed, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration. Yes, its a lot to have completed in such a short time.
  12. Had my first exam and it went very well. Ace my calculation exam! Now onto the real hard word.
  13. Well, as you guys know i started class on sept. 5 and it has been ok so far. I had my first lecture of Thursday with my scary professor, all and all her lectures are very good and seem like her exams will be coming from her hand-outs. I am having my pharmacology calculation exam on Monday and we need a 85% to pass. We were not taught the calculations in class but we were told to read the text book and watch the DVD that came with the book. we have to teach our self the formula...Frankly the calculations seems basic so far and manageable. Lets see how well i do tomorrow lol...
  14. Hey jillypot!!! Thank you for walking the yellow brick road with us. We'll share our experiences with you and i hope all our experience is a positive one.
  15. Hi guys! Today was my first day and it was great. We didnt do much, we just discuss what to expect but some of the professors were scary. All and all im still going in with a positive attitude and conditioned myself for all the hard work ahead. I am very glad that you guys have joined this thread and look forward to complete this journey together.
