ASA COLLEGE nursing program(brooklyn, ny)

Is anyone attending or heard anything about ASA' s nursing program?

Just curious

When I went I asked the same, they told me "instead of going for pre-requisites, you will do them in less time than Community College and getting a career at the same time..." it didn't convince me at all...

I've never written a review about anything in my life but I really don't want people to go through what I went through with ASA college. They flase advertise that they have this nursing program that they have zero accreditation for and have students take unnecessary classes to get into said program. I spent two semesters and took out a loan got a 4.0 gpa and its benefited me in no way shape or form. Because when it came time for me to start the nursing program and take the Nln (which I got a 130 on the score they ask for) I got the run around and I've have gotten a response from them in 8 months. They stopped answering my calls and never replied to my emails. So if you want to do nursing DO NOT DO IT AT ASA!!!

Hi everyone i have a question those who attended ASA College for the nursing program what college did you transfer over that accepted their credits?

I attended ASA and graduated as an MA few years back i applied recently to attend the nursing program they told me that all i needed to take was Psychology, Speech & Communication & Sociology

Then go and take the NLN Entrance Exam

I started the semester and found out half way in that the Program had collapsed from a few nursing students and one of my teachers

The school denies it and still enrolling students like nothing wrong

My question basically is What college will accept my credits so i continue to get in he nursing program without starting from scratch?

PLEASE HELP ANYONE!!!!

I went to ASA college last week to take the NLN test. I passed it with a composite score of 116. I was going for the accelerated program since I am already an LPN. When I went to apply for financial aid, the tuition together was almost $36,000 books and supplies were not included. I have 3/4 of the corequisites. I chose not to attend because of the tuition. Its too high.

P.s nursing courses are $720/credits

Not a recommended college, by the first semester you will find a lot of problems with this college already. First, the staff. I dont even know why they are there. Whenever you have a problem and you want you help and ask at a department inside the building, they will simply tell you to go to another department in room X. After I go to that room to wait for the line and ask for help, they do the same, simply tell me to go to room Y and talk with someone there. And the same thing goes inside the whole building, telling me to go another room and talk with someone there. After finally walking around all the offices, no one there can really help you. It is the same when you ask for directions about where X office is, they do not even know where the office is and tell you a random room number they think it is. There are even some staff who will yell at you. Second, college tuition. They increase the tuition fees without even telling you about it beforehand, you only know they increased them when u had to make the payment. And they do not increase it only by a few dollars, but almost 300 USD, which is crazy. Third, some teachers. Some teachers are like really lazy. All they do is sit around and read the book for you. If they are going to sit there and read the book for you most of the time, then are they even there, we can read the book by ourselves. Some of them just turn on the screen projector for you to see the book. They barely use the board anymore.

Hey, Alex, How did it work out for you? May I ask what hospital you are working in now. Just need to confirm before I take this leap. Thanks!

Is there anyone that is in ASA nursing program now because I’m currently in ASA preparing to take the NLN but I dint want to waste my time there

I would not recommend a school and is obligating you to take classes that are not needed and won’t apply to an RN degree.. and to be honest from a medical assistant stick with plan A because if you have a plan B. You will never get to plan A. And to be honest as. MA is great experience but pay is not whats expected.
asa and Mildred Elley is the same and with Mildred Elley they tell students that they can go straight into an RN Program at an Adelphi with a medical assistant which is not true and I. Order to apply for their LPN you have to had wasted money on classes you don’t need from Medical Assistant program and seems that ASA is doing the same just a gimmick to get people to spent their money .

Anyone have any positive comments about this school?

Hello! Can you please tell me how competitive to get in the nursing program in ASA? Do they accept any application from someone who failed from ABSN nursing school? I failed my final& last class critical care. I don’t have any options to retake this. My GPA 2.7.
