I am doing an article critique for using medications safely and effectively in older asults. I found this journal article titled "Risk of death and hospital admission for major medical events after initiation of psychotropic medications in older adults admitted to nursing homes." I am having a hard time finding an article to do a critique on. I have never done one. It has to be 3 pages (not including title page and bibliography) and in APA format (which I have never done) I am stressed! Any help would be nice!

Are you having trouble with the critique itself or the formatting? The links from the PP will help you with formatting, especially Purdue's OWL.
I used it all the way through my BSN program for papers.
Your professor should have given you a rubric for the critique that explains all the requirements of your paper.
Good luck!

Does your school give you a username and password for ebsco? I have found many nursing journals on there that have been helpful to use for my papers. Make sure you follow your teachers rubric to a tee. Believe it or not many people in my class ignore the rubric and wonder why they don't do so well on papers. Is your teacher or another instructor willing to read the paper ahead of time? I have had some professors that offer this and it has been helpful to me. I had no idea how to use APA and got confused so I downloaded PERRLA APA and MLA Format and Style Software by PERRLA, LLC - PERRLA.com and have used it for every paper and have never gotten points taken off for APA. If you would rather not download it some of the links previous posters said are reputable and many of my classmates use and like them. Good luck!

PM if you really need help. I have done so many of these type assignments I could probably do it with my eyes closed. Also I am very, very familiar with APA.
