Ah yes, scope cases. Nothing quite like wading around in Shoulder Soup to get the day started out right.
My shoe of choice is the Dankso Rain Shoe. Granted, little pricey, but nice support for a variety of foot ailments and it wears like a champ.
Other options? Some sweet rain boots with some interesing designs such as ones sold online at Target for something like twenty some odd dollars.
I, personally, have "Jolly Roger", aka Pirate rain boots, skull rainboots and, most importantly for days I'm on the prowl, leopard print.
Mmhm.
Smack some custom orthodics (wretched spelling, I know...no one ever said I was bright) into those badboys and I am golden.
Now make no mistake...my britches are S-O-A-K-E-D at the end, but my feet are dry.
And fashionable.
How about addressing the problem of having to wade through water during the operation!! There are soaker mats that can be used, paddle vac's and if you get desparate you can put a bucket under the op table and tuck the drapes into the bucket to catch the flow of water from the op site! Brain storm with others to address the problem!

Hi, I started working in an arthroscopic surgical center and everyone in the OR is wearing old mucking boots or these disposable plastic covers to avoid soaking their shoes with fluid. I find both options to be very hot and uncomfortable.. Is anyone else in the same situation or know of a better solution for waterproof shoes?
