Welcome, welcome, welcome lr!!! the more the merrier!!!
Going to try and find a picture of a bunnet for you,but in the meantime its a corruption of the word "bonnet", the Scots accent makes it sound like bunnet! The particular hat we're referring to,is also known as a "Jimmy Bunnet"and is a joke hat, usually with wig attached.
The ginger wig is because of the stereotypical image of the Scots all having red hair.
Any other lingo you need,we'll be happy to translate for you.
Hope you are recovering from your surgery, did you do any "body-art" for the or team?
Well, l chickened out, my last words to the surgeon were..keep me coverd up!.....he said they get kind of mad when he cuts holes in the gowns...ahh well, with enough MS you can endure anything!...l am feeling much better now thanks....go back to work on the 5th.....hope their not STILL laughing!...LOL...LR
l.rae, unfortunately I dont have my own 'bunnet' to take a pic of and show you but I will try to find you a picture from somewhere.
They really are quite ridiculous, mostly worn by football supporters to show how their ''mad-scotsmen'', or as part of a fancy dress costume.
Fortunately I dont have or have ever had, anything tartan in my wardrobe, I do have a very Scottish surname though so that more than makes up for it.
