I got accepted into the LPN program after test, extensive bg checks and physicals I got a acceptance letter to start school July 15th. Well to make a long story short my husband purchased a lawn mower to fix and resale. Well he fixes it we put it on Craigslist and are going to sale it well bam 👊 the lawnmower comes up as stolen and we both get arrested and charged for possession of stolen property. I myself have never ever been on trouble my husband once when he was 18. Just wanted to see if anyone has been convicted of a misdemeanor and still got to become a lpn in Oklahoma.

As most people will say on here, call the Oklahoma BON and get clarification. But I will say from personal experience as someone who is graduating LPN in September, just make sure you have all the paperwork, if you get probation, you better have the probation finished before you apply for licensure. Class before ours, a friend of mine was approved to test for license and she had a felony assault conviction, but she admitted it on paperwork and probation was completed, another girl in the same class did not state she had a DUI that was 12 years old, and she has been "delayed" and is still waiting to test due to "more information needed". Long story short....accept that you did wrong, no matter what the circumstance because the board of nursing does not care, and they are not your friend. Get all paperwork, get it expunged once probation or whatever is completed, and then cross your fingers....probably not the hopeful and sweet response you are wanting, but the truth.
best of luck
