So, I completed my application to Arkansas State's MSN CRNA program beginning in 2019. I was relieved to have everything submitted by the priority deadline. Who else out there is trying for this school? Anyone have any information about the interview process?

Good Research about the 35 taken up last year, and less the year before.
Here is some research that I can offer. Through the COA site:
Arkansas 1st time pass rate 98% -- National Average 92%. That is quality!
Attrition rate 5% - 2018 Class. If I sound like a cheerleader, you are probably right.
I do like those numbers. - RAN.
Hi MICUNurse091
I want you to stay positive. The simple fact that you were interviewed means that they liked you (on paper anyway).
Point 2: If they took you down the clinical question pathway, they are trying to get to know you. How you ask? -- Well, they want corner you and see how cool of a head you have on your shoulders, how you act under pressure. If you stayed cool and calm, I would take it as a positive. I am going to say a prayer for you tonight MICUNurse. - Best of luck, RAN.
Is that Tn as in TenesseeRN2017?
Now that you mention it, I guess I didn't have any get to know you questions either, but the conversation did have a levity to it that it provided comfort. Like I mentioned to MICUNurse, going down the pathophiz was testing not only your knowledge, but also your calmness in stressful times. Wishing the best for you TN - RAN
DFQueen88I have to agree with your comment. I really do feel that they honestly want you to get right answer to the question. They want us to succeed. If you felt that way Queen, then that's a definite step in the right direction. Best of Luck to you. By the way Queen, did you happen to see how many names were in your sign-in list today (to know more or less of how many they are interviewing)? - RAN
They really emphasized how they "step up to the plate" for their students (as long as they are in the right) to be advocates for them and their success, so that was good to hear. I reassured them how important that was.
Good luck to you too! I would definitely prefer two weeks over close to one month, but as hard as it is, it's over now and we just have to put it aside in our thoughts and wait. I did actually glance at the list, and if I could approximate it, I would say about 20, and I think today was the last day of interviews for this week at least.
For the Forum:What do you all think about the fact that 2018 US News and World Report ASU Nurse Anesthesia program was not ranked. Their ranking was not published. -- I'm new to this. Should I be concerned with this?
Can anyone help me on how to translate that? - THX in advance.
Interesting you mention that, I actually noticed this around a year ago and also didn't know how to feel. I'm not exactly sure why they aren't "ranked" per se. I don't know what all goes into that ranking and I was a little concerned initially, however, what I do know is that their first time pass rate and attrition rates, according to their program website, are still relatively higher than some pretty popular private and public schools in the Arkaltex.
TEXAN CRNA 110I like your positivity. I smell bravado reading your words on your posts. Keep that up in your interview, humbly of course.
They also informed me that it would be two weeks or more to get the results if you are in. Wishing the best for you - RAN.
Thanks Ran. Got to stay positive in this long and stressful process :)
Hi all, from what I saw on the sign in paper on Tuesday, there were 22 interviews scheduled. If they had interviews 8/6, 8/7, 8/8, then I would think there would be about ~66 interviews.
Also from my interview experience, I thought it went very well. I was not asked any type of clinical questions nor did we go over the pre-test. I felt like it was more of a personality based interview so I am very surprised that you guys received clinical based questions. Does the pre-test factor in to the decision making at all? I know there was at least one question on there that I completely didn't know the answer.
I interviewed Wednesday in the afternoon. Dr. Hammon was the only one present for mine. Was Dr. Black there for anyone's?
I basically feel as comfortable as everyone else. My interview was mostly personal with a few clinical questions after discussing what I missed on the test. He didn't say anything about interviewing more next week, just that they will evaluate everyone over the next week or two and continue to narrow it down to an appropriate class size of somewhere around 30-35 with a decision in 2-3 weeks...
Good luck to everyone! This post is getting a lot of views, so I'm sure everyone is as anxious as me to hear something back!

Dr. Black and Dr. Hammon were both present for mine. Mine was similar; started with personal questions and then merged into things that were missed on the test. 2-3 weeks isn't TOO bad- better than waiting an entire month! I asked when we would find out and the response was along the lines of potentially interviewing another round of people next week (sounded iffy/undecided) and that if they hold any more interviews after this week, finding out could be around one month.
