Hey guys! I wanted to make a forum for all of us who have applied to the Arizona Mayo Nurse Resident program in March 2018 for the July 23rd start date. We can all share our anxiety and questions!

Also GypsySoul, did you find it any more difficult obtaining a job at banner due to not being from the area?

The recruiter did not specify which positions were open, but there were more for west valley. They just ask what you are interested in and try to place you there and closest to where you live/will be moving to. I just said Med/surg or ICU and there was a med/surg one she placed me at. I was just happy enough to get an offer!
I was starting to get nervous that it was going to take a while to even get an interview since I am out of state, I graduated in December and took and passed NCLEX right away but I was waiting to apply for Mayo since I planned to move out there this summer, so I did not apply to other places until March. I checked everyday for new postings with honorhealth and applied to a lot and got nothing. 2 of those are actually under review, but I was happy with accepting the offer from Banner. I believe more positions open up in spring/summer months. Reach out to someone after a few days of applying and I am sure you will be able to get an interview! Good luck! :)

Has anyone been able to find HR contact info for Mayo, Banner, or Dignity Health? I feel like that is the best way to answer these questions but their info can be hard to find.

Were you able to get an interview/hired before taking your NCLEX? Thanks in advance!
You can find the Banner staffing service contacts on their website. They have 3 different offices for west, east and Tucson areas. As for the others, you could just call the main hospital lines and ask for human resources and I am sure someone there will be able to give more info.
I graduated in December and took my NCLEX in January, then I started applying once I passed, but I do know they want you to at least have a test date set.
I tried calling today. I left messages because some of the recruiters were not in. I'll probably call again next week.

Good luck to everyone who is still waiting to hear back from Mayo... My application to this day says that it's under review. I have had some applications in at Banner Health, Dignity, and HonorHealth. I am pretty excited as I have accepted a position on the Telemetry Unit at HonorHealth! =) Best wishes to you all!!
I just got a rejection email even though my application never went to "under review". Good luck everyone.
