Maricopa CEP & GPA

U.S.A. Arizona

Published

Hello,

I was Hoping someone could answer a quick question for me with the maricopa community college CEP GPA...

Is the GPA calculated based on class and grade received (For example: 2 A's and 2B's would be a 3.5 GPA) or is it based or do the credit per class have a factor? (For Example: 2 A's received in a 3 credit class and 2 B's received in a 4 credit class would be 3.42.... assuming I did my math correctly.)

TIA!

Credits do have an impact - they are "worth" more so they have a greater impact on your GPA.

If I got a B in a 3 credit lecture but an A in the 1 credit lab, my GPA would be 3.2 and not 3.5.

College GPA Calculator This website has never failed me when figuring out GPA. It will also say in your Maricopa student center.

Keep in mind that if you are interested in CEP some universities only count the pre and co-req classes towards GPA.

I didn't do your math, so I don't know if it is right, but the answer to your question is yes, GPA is calculated based on how many credit hours AND grade. They also only calculate credits being transferred in, not classes failed or ones not being counted toward the degree. Hope that helps.
