Hello can anyone tell me about Arrowhead hospital? The good, bad and the ugly I have a telephone interview with them next wednesday and would love to hear what nurses think of the hospital? Is it a great place to work? Or does it have a high turnover rate how is the pay compared to other local hospitals and does it have a bad rep for terrible doctors and nurses? Thanks for any input as it will be greatly appreciated.

I worked there about 5 years ago and enjoyed it. I had fantastic coworkers and pay above average.

The ugly - I don't know staffing ratios now, but it was 8:1 on med/surg nights and 6:1 in tele. If you are going anywhere but peri-op or ICU ask in the interview about ratios.

It is not known for bad doctors or nurses. I would go back if opportunities were right.

thanks that helped to put my mind at ease :thankya:

In nursing school I did my preceptorship there (1 year ago) and loved it. The nurses are awesome there! I precepted with a med/surg nurse on days and we only had 4 patients max. The one thing I didn't like is that they contracted out with physicians... I prefer the doctors work for the hospital and not facilities.
