Hi everyone! I just started the process for January 2016 admissions! Any advice for me? I ordered the TEAS V Study guide and I'm also still taking classes at CCP so I hope that helps me score high. I'm so excited already for next year!
Hey Jo! I don't think there is anything to worry about. I got a 63 on the Teas, 3.33 gpa, all paper work in, and finish my ap2 and Chem this fall and Marie told me not to worry that everything looked great and keep sending her transcripts as they come. I mean I'm still totally nervous about getting in for Jan but the way she was talking I think we have a good chance. She said Jan is a little easier to get into because sept is what everyone is applying for. Did she tell you a 60 was fine when it was over? She told me I didn't have to take mine again.
I asked Marie about the interview on Sat when I took my teas and she said I didn't have to set one up unless I needed to tell her something she didn't already know lol. I've been really keeping in touch with her because in so nervous and anxious about the whole process!! Do you talk to her at all? Might be good to call or email her and ask if you should or not. She already knew what I was doing with fall classes and that's the part that made me nervous but she said as long as I send her my midterm grade and it's good, I'm on the right track. She also told me you could find out in as little as a month of all your stuff is in. I have to wait because my classes aren't over until fall í ½í¸’....I keep praying I get in though!!
Hey FayFay! I actually talked to Marie today. I've talked to her a few times and she's really nice and down to earth. Not " threatening" as some others I've come across. She said the committee doesn't meet again till July 20 to make a decision. So I have a while to wait. Are you finishing up classes this fall and then Aria for spring? I'll have my associates by fall so my chemistry is what's holding me back right now...

Yea I like Marie, very nice and helpful! Yes my ap1 starts July 7 and ap2 and Chen start sept so I'll be ready to go for arias January admissions! I'm soooo excited and anxious. I'm trying to just keep busy and not think to much about it because I'm really driving myself nuts, checking emails, and what not haha!! I know they'll probably wait until fall when I submit my midterm to make a decision about me because of the the fact I'm finishing my classes in fall. So I'm aiming for A's in those classes lol. I also just quit my office job yesterday and start Cna classes at records on Monday to start getting my feet wet in the medical field. People from Aria told me it will be great experience if I do Cna! The girls and guys who go to Aria now said that if I do this now come jan I'll feel very comfortable in vlinicals and might even know a bit more than the ones who never did anything in the medical field before. So I took the plunge left my high paying job and following m dreams. Hope it's worth it haha

I sent everything off and I am still waiting to hear. What were some of your GPA 's like? In concerned because my GPA is high (3.6) but I only scored a 60% on the Teas. My recommendation letters are great and I'll be finished at Manor with my associates. I was encouraged and told not to worry because my GPA is awesome but I can't help but having this pit in my stomach 24/7 lol. Any advice, and or words of wisdom or something someone heard ?
