Hi Everyone!!! It's been a while since I've been on here. Fayfay1017-I'm so happy for you!! Congratulations!!! Last time I posted we were both going crazy waiting to hear about acceptance lol. Congrats again. We will be in the same cohort! Did you get the itinerary for orientation for 12/8-12/9? I'm so excited! Ripping my hair out now with chem, micro and stats but I'm all sorts of excited and ready to roll come January! Anyone else accepted for January 2016 at Aria? I'm excited to meet everyone!! -JoJo

Lowiegirl- good luck to you!!! I hear GM is a great school! One of the nurses who was getting her BSN there was a tutor at Manor where I go. Manor is really big in making sure their allied health people know all human bones inside and out. She was one of the best people to help us out with that! Jo Reed

I am... I think it will be ok. Prep was good and I was nervous about that because I have never taken a chemistry class before. Personally for me, I think the prep was good and it will be the same thing for this semester so hopefully not that chaotic lol Jo Reed

Hi! Yes the only thing I am waiting on is chemistry. I took a prep Chem class and almost had an A in it but unfortunately it didn't count grade wise. I believe they used that grade and the fact that I will have my associates before I enter maybe made me look like a good candidate. Fay I'm sure when you hand in your final transcripts ( even maybe call around midterms just to keep Marie posted with where you are and awesome you are doing couldn't hurt;) they should get you a faster decision. All of my other classes are done like my micro and stats and all of that fun stuff. In sending nothing but good vibes your way my friend!!! Jo Reed

I was just accepted into Arias January cohort and in looking forward to it. I'll be finishing up my associates with Manor College by fall and then transition nicely into the spring semester. I personally have heard good things but I also know that not all situations are the same. Jo Reed

Wow! Everyone is on a roll! Haha! Waiting is the hard part. I was told sometime about 7/20 I would hear something. Never thought about doing a CNA thing before but I was a surgical dental assistant for a long time so hopefully that looks good. The only thing I have left is my chemistry to finish in the fall. Congrats to you NurseLovelyLocs on getting in! In sure FayFay and myself see you in the spring!! Jo Reed

Hey FayFay! I actually talked to Marie today. I've talked to her a few times and she's really nice and down to earth. Not " threatening" as some others I've come across. She said the committee doesn't meet again till July 20 to make a decision. So I have a while to wait. Are you finishing up classes this fall and then Aria for spring? I'll have my associates by fall so my chemistry is what's holding me back right now... Jo Reed

Hi! Me again! Lol Could someone explain the interview process? Is it s mandatory thing? Do they (Aria) call you and set something up? Also when do you hear about expectance to the January 2016 program? I'm all sorts of nervous and this is the only thing I can concentrate on lol Jo Reed

I sent everything off and I am still waiting to hear. What were some of your GPA 's like? In concerned because my GPA is high (3.6) but I only scored a 60% on the Teas. My recommendation letters are great and I'll be finished at Manor with my associates. I was encouraged and told not to worry because my GPA is awesome but I can't help but having this pit in my stomach 24/7 lol. Any advice, and or words of wisdom or something someone heard ? Jo Reed

iAngel_G-- my letter did not state what the reason was. I'm just guessing I'm on the wait list due to me having to finish some classes. That's all I can think of! My TEAS, grades and GPA are all very good so I'm not really sure what the reason is for me 😕 Jo Reed

Dev512- I'm in the same boat! In thinking I'm going pursue as I originally thought( take my Chem summer 1) and then if by June 26 I dont hear anything from them, I won't rush to finish stats in summer 2. I'm thinking I'll continue on my planned path for summer 1and then by the end of that semester I don't hear anything, I won't kill myself. I hear you about Dixon but my plan B is LaSalle for the spring evening program at the new town campus. Jo Reed

Also got my letter and I'm on the wait list too for evening. Sad and disappointed but hopefully things will turn around. Question for those on wait lists- will you still pursue Dixon or have a plan B ? I'm up in the air right now if busting my butt and hearing a no or just taking the summer off ( enjoying my kids, family etc). However in feeling like I'm 32 and need to move it! Lol
