Aria Health School of Nursing - Jan 11'

Published

Just wanted to see who else was currently applying for the January 11' start date. My application is in RAP review as of today. I went in with like a 3.2GPA and did very well on my TEAS. I scored an 87% on it which put me in the 94th percentile nationwide. When I went on the interview I was told the TEAS score was very good and my GPA was good as well. I'm kind of bugging out. I want this so bad because I don't want to wait a whole year to re-apply for the fall classes. Finger's crossed. Anyone else out there applying now as well?

i was thinking of applying there. im confused with the Penn State classes, do we have to take then ON penn state? online? im confused? penn state is really expensive, and far. but i live close to Aria SON

Hi rayne215

You would take the Penn state classes at Aria with the other students (at Aria prices). But then when you get your Assoc Degree and Diploma, you can then take a few additional classes on line to get your bachelors degree.

Hope his helps.

ok lets get this straight....

1 Aria is moving up the blvd to the neshimany interplex, it will not be in frankford for very ,much longer

2 its about to become a bachelors degree program..... and for those of us now that is are there now we can just take the rest of the classes online at PSU world campus or at the abington campus or at the torresdale campus of the hospital

hope this clears up the confusion....although i thought we cleared this up a few days ago.... :)

Hi Nep1980,

I responded to rayne215 the way I did because there is no official announcement yet of the bachelors degree program. I didn't tell him about the movement of the school because that is also not been officially announced on the board. I don't want to give him information other than the current, existing program. Hope your classes are going well. :)

Hi nep1980,

I'm a January 2012 Aria applicant also. I wanted to ask you if during Nursing 211, you guys had any clinical time in the NICU, and if so, how long? I hope to at least get the opportunity to observe the unit bc it's ultimately the area I'd like to work in. :)

i was at holy redeemer and we walked in and walked out...Since that semester is psych, OB and peds there is not enough time anymore....:(

but some people in my class that were at Einstein did get to spend 1 day in the NICU.....Probably not what you wanted to hear.....But on the flip side many schools wanted to take the specialties out of clinical, Aria decided to keep them by packing them all into one semester. Basically take what you can get type thing

Thanks anyway for letting me know... :sniff: I guess one day would be better than none at all (or just passing through for that matter). Glad they kept the specialties. At least you can get a feel for those areas and see whether you like them or not..

Is there anyone currently attending Aria that knows of a fellow classmate that had to defer their start date...not once, but TWICE? Did Aria let them attend? I was supposed to start Sept 2011 and deferred to Jan 2012, now I'm having a serious family issue and may possibly not have it all worked out by January. HELP!!!

Has anybody gotten acceptance letters for January 12 yet?@

No letter in my mailbox today

Me either! Any updates on admissions login?!

Nope! Still says rap review :( maybe tomorrow....

Anyone wanna email/call admission dep and ask WHEN exactly letters will be mailed out? I have emailed like 4 times in sept with other questions so I don't wanna bother again.

Any one who hasn't bothered them yet wanna valunteer and call? Lol
