are you happy with yourself, your career, your job, your life style? if you are happy what makes you happy? and what makes you unhappy?

i'm sure i'm happy.from being a CIS student to a license Pharmacy Tech to LPN student . i felt that i have found the career that i've been looking for..... as a Nurse & I'm loving it. Ill be graduating as a LPN in a couple months, thanks for my family supports obcourse. i'm excited and scared @ the same time. The NCLEX is rilly making me worried and thoughts of being in the real world. No teachers to guide me..... Hopefully i'll be successful like everybody else..... =)

I am happy ! I have a good job ( RN ) and earn a decent living, my son and daughter are both at college and healthy and happy. I have spare time to relax, visit family and friends, shop, travel ( when money permits ).

I have had periods of unhappiness in my life - divorce, financial troubles, loneliness at times. Today I feel great, I am getting married next March and feel very content.

I believe life goes in cycles, we all have our ups and downs. But finding inner happiness is the key. Then no matter what happens, no matter what life thows at us, we can manage.

See my moniker. Seriously, happiness is not a state of being, imho. You get happy on a transient basis. When someone buys you a present, a hug from your child/husband/wife/aunt/uncle, etc. you get the picture.

WHAT WE ALL STRIVE FOR (I believe) is contentment. Happiness is a momentary thing, contentment is peace and occupies the majority of our time. We spend a lot of needless time worrying about "being happy".

All that aside, I was very happy when I got into my competitive trauma internship and am content and pleased to be learning so much in the program.

I don't pay Uncle Sam a dime...am I happy? Oh yes, that free house! Wait, that car with all the gas, oil and maintenance for $600 a year.

:yeahthat:
