Does anyone know where I might find videos of basic nursing procedures just to be sure I am doing something right? Thanks!
Dottie, RN 89 Posts Apr 29, 2009 Is there any particular procedure you're interested in seeing? I've gone to Youtube and found many videos on IV and NG tube insertion, but have not looked up other procedures. I'm sure Youtube might have some; just do a search on whatever you're interested in. You just might find what you're looking for!

NurseWannabe1129 1 Article; 111 Posts Apr 29, 2009 Mosby makes videos with nursing procedures. My school shows the video, then demonstrates in the lab, and then has us practice!

cookienurseRN 3 Posts Apr 29, 2009 our hospital subscribes to a webservice called mosby's nursing skills. it is a very valuable tool. for example, if you type in fecal impaction or any other skill, it will give you these various icons:- quick sheet (general overview of steps)- check list (great to have for competency testing)- list of supplies- test- demonstration (this is the video portion)- illustrations- extended text. again, this is something our hospital subscribes to, but here is the information.general inquiries:email: mns.customerservice@elsevier.comphone: 1-877-857-1047 u.s. and canadamailing address:mosby's nursing skills11830 westline industrial drivest. louis, mo 63146usafax: +01 (314) 453-4777
