I took the "new" version on 4/23 and i was terrified. My advice is to study and know safety, safety, safety.

@BLOWINGBUBBLES: u mean it hard ha?? hehe make me nervous now! how many Q did you get? pt. Safety??

No matter what the exam has that is different from the past, you still need to know the material. And even then, you might not pass. Lots of people take more than one try to get it done. So don't worry about it. Study, do your best, schedule it, and take it. Once you have done that, you will have done all you can do. Good luck.

I stopped at the minimum 85, I had a fair amount of select all that apply and a couple of drag and drop. In my opinion it wasnt easy just study and take it dont over think it.

Just make sure you get lacharity for your sanity.GL

i took mine on 5/16/11 and to be honest the NCLEX is tuff, you just have to know your material. But the anxiety is worse then the actual test. The nclex is tuff but its not really as bad as we make it out to be. I was terrified going in, i was having panic attacks days leading up to it. but it just like taking one of those practice tests. You will get random questions, some harder then others. my test cut off at 99 questions at 1hr 40 min. honestly i didnt know how i did as i left. there where a ton of med questions: what it does, side effects, which one would you question, and a few i had never heard of. of course diseases, s/s, tx, a lot on infection control, put thing in order, isolation precautions, diets, communication, and prioritizing ex. "whats the first thing". I had to listen to breathing sounds and id them, math, and a few questions on amiocentesis. i would recommend breaking down each system into its basic concepts, know your drugs, diseases, & procedures. i would say i had a good 15 questions that where select all that apply. oh and most questions had 2 right answerd and u had to pick.... but with any question if you know the basics and how things work it will help you eliminate at least 2 right away. i would do as many nclex prep tests as you can do. i am in California so i cant get the quick results so i did the PVT a few days ago and got the "good" pop up. so we will see once i get the results in the mail

Thank you u all for sharing experiences and gave good advices!! Hmmm i thnk i hv to study my butt off now!! now!! Yeah nursing school is hard but unless you got the idea wat u hv to review!! but NCLEX wow it's unpredictable!!:crying2:
