  1. Thank you all so much. Yes my English is my second language and most of the times I will double check my writing because I know that i make a lot of mistakes in my writing. Anyway the medication is K-dur (potassium cloride). My pt is totally fine depite he has chronic diarrhea for a long time. Thank for the adivces. Next time I will remember Doctor orders first. I will go through them to see which one is Stat, and if there aren't any I will do what is important first.
  2. Hello Everybody. I would like to hear you advice as a nurse. I am a new grade. I just got this job about 5months now but it is just a per-diem position. Yesterday I got a bunch of new orders from Dr from 6 different pt. Dr wrote an orders and left around noon 1:30pm. I have to finish my afternoon med. and by the time i done with my med, i have to do the change shift report. than i start to write the orders. and by the time finish transcribing the orders it is around 5 o'clock already. I saw an order said give XYZ medication now. So i wrote an order at 5 pm when the medication order wrote since 1:30pm. Am I in trouble? As a new nurse, i am terrifying everyday. I go to work early and leave work late. By the time i get home I still thinking about my work. I afraid that i miss something. Some people are not really like new nurses because those people think that new nurses don't know what they are doing. I Really appreciate for all the reply. Thank you.
  3. Can you please help me think about my condition? I got paid 22/hr as per-diem LPN. Last week i worked double shift which is 17 hours. I jst checked my paycheck at the moment and i saw i got 24.50/hr for my double shift. I am wondering that is working double we got paid double too or what? I really confuse right now. is it per-diem and full time get paid for double shift differently? Please help me Thank you so much
  4. Thank you everybody for the advices. I no a lot of new nurses have been bullied and i'm afraid i'm gonna be want of them since i more the kind of person who don't really like to speak up. Can you tell me what is your routine in order to get your job done on time? I understand that yr routine might not fit my routine, but i just want to get some idea so i can prepare myself. Anyway I also wanna be a scrub nurse as well cos you got to see the surgery going on in OR room. After i got my RN will try to find the job like that. totally awesome! thank you again!
  5. Well I work as LPN in LTC in MA state - part time $22/hr. different shift got different pay. 1 year experience.
  6. Thank you for your advice. I am just so nervous right now cos I have been graduated since May 2011, and now I just got the job. and I feel like i am losing most of my knowledge right now. I don't wanna be the nurse that they call dump or anything like that. I heard some nurses have been bullied, and which is scared me so bad. allI wanna do is to be prepare and be good. As I will start my 1st job as a LPN in LTC, therefore i would like to get some ideas what to expect as a new grad LPN. It can be overwhelm right?   9. Hi everybody, I am an LPN have been searching for a jobs in MA almost a year now. Still no where hired new grad! They said something like. we really appreciate for your enthusiasm, but your qualification is not meet our requirement. How on earth can New grad find job right now if they really have very little experience?? :-( hmmm I always hope that after all the hard study during nursing school, it will pay off after i get a job but the truth is ugly than what i think!

I would say i will do anything just to get a job, but no where hire new grad!
