Yes. ANA, State Nurses' Association, Sigma Theta Tau, 2 clinical specialty associations, and 1 specialty role association. That makes 6 in total.
As a nurse educator (both hospital Staff Development and academic education), I need to keep up with what is happening in the profession as well as the latest practice knowledge.

Yes - CNA/NNOC. They are making real progress in safe staffing.

STT and the professional organization for my specific clinical specialty. I was active in my state nurses' association for many years (including in the subgroups related to my clinical specialty), but I let my membership lapse when I moved to another state for a few years several years ago, and just haven't gotten around to re-joining since I've been home again.
I also have a membership in the NLN through the institutional membership of a nursing school for which I'm an adjunct instructor, but the school just gave that to me without my having pursued it myself.
