Are nurses paid hourly or salary??? A bit confused

How do you know how much you make an hour? For instance I make a combine income of 170,000 in both RN jobs. How does one know what you get paid each hour? Are nurses salary or hourly????? I work 13 days a month 12 hour shift for each job.

I see people posting about how much they get paid hourly so I'm kind of confused on that part... My acceptance letter only showed how much we get a year and it doesn't post hourly wage. Would you take into account the vacation days, sick days, personal days, and holidays we get too when we convert to hourly???

13 days a week? What planet are you on? Usually when you get hired they tell you how much you get paid an hour.Your pay stub should state it as well.I don't know any nurses that get paid a salary but are likely some that do in admin or something.You need to clarify before you accept.

LOL. I meant a month! I thought my pay stub would show hourly but it doesn't. They never told me how much I get paid hourly so I'm kind of confused. I get paid hourly then???

If you know how many days a month, take your annual salary and divide by 12 months, divide by the number if days in the month, divide by the number of hours per day.

If you know how many hours per week, divide your annual salary by 52 weeks, then divide by the number of hours per week.

That's very generalized of course and may not be 100% accurate, but should be close.

You can always call HR. My hourly rate appears on every paystub I've gotten but some places have been more clear on differentials than others.

Only management tend to get paid salary, this is so they can get 60 hours of work each week and pay for 40!

I am salaried and once I leave I will never, ever take a salaried position again

Call HR and they can tell you how much you get paid per hour, most times it will have an hourly amount somewhere on your paycheck
