I need help with a&p 1. I am not doing good on the tests in a&p, and because of that I am barely passing the class . I need help with knowing what to study and it actually being on the test.

It is very hard to tell you exactly what to study for since every teacher focuses on different sections. My teacher will only test on things that he has lectured on, but I know other teachers the entire chapter is fair game. I would read the chapter and highlight areas of importance or areas that have been covered in class. I would then type up a "study guide" from that information and then I would write note cards to study from. Repeat, repeat, repeat and repeat again. There is no easy way to remember this information except to sit down and study - a lot! Write the information, read the information, put the information on a digital voice recorder so you can hear it as well. Good luck with the rest of the semester!

Does your school have an academic or tutoring center? Perhaps your instructor can offer tips or refer you to a former successful student who was successful in the course. It is rather impossible to offer assistance online. Does your text have online resources. Are you utilizing your study guide that accompanies your text? My text had not only.a a Great study guide but some extremely useful online resources and study disk. There are also some excellent explanatory videos on You Tube and iTunes from reliable sources such as major universities like MIT and Harvard.

What school are you going to? And does your school offer any tutoring? I know for me I use every study option available. My book is registered on evolve and I use their study tests to practice on key points. I also have chapter reviews downloaded onto my phone so I listen whenever I can. In the chapters I am reading there are "quick checks" in sections of the book that ask you to questions that are explained in that specific portion also at the end of the chapter there should be case studies where you can use what you have learned throughout the chapter.

I hope this helps...good luck and don't give up!! And don't forget to read, read, read!! :)

Study everything and study every day. Take notes while reading your book, use the online resources from the textbook publisher, study guide, outline notes, flashcards, coloring books, whatever you find works for you.

You can NEVER overstudy A&P.

All of the above suggestions are exactly what I would say to you. When is the last time you sat down and talked with your professor? Maybe you can set up a session with him or her and determine where you getting lost. What are study methods currently? If you're having trouble, you probably need to change things up. Try a different study method. Try a study group. Look up study methods on google and many of those you find may work for you. Look up what type of learner you are and focus on methods that enchance that. For instance, if you are an auditory learner try tape recording. If you are a visual learner, try pictures, or concept maps. Etc... If I were you, I would first talk with my instructor. Sometimes they don't appear approachable, but a majority are willing to give tips. If that doesn't work, try to talk with a different instructor. While they may not be covering the same material, A&P instructors can help you where you are at no matter who it is. Get tutoring if that's free at your college. If that doesn't work, I tutor A&P, my e-mail is: [email protected]. My e-mail is plastered all over this site so I'm not too worried about receiving e-mails here and there. Shoot me one for some help. I'll be glad to. :)

I go to a very small college. They don't offer tutoring that I know of.

I say do whatever it takes..ask your classmates for help if you have to..and check to see if they have tutoring.
