ARC/SCC ADN FALL 2019

Hi Everyone!!! I didn't see a thread for Fall 2019, so I figured I'd get the ball rolling. This is my first time applying to both SCC and ARC. I turned in my paper packets on 2/11 and 2/13. SCC updated my status to received this morning. I plan to also apply at Delta, but would really prefer acceptance at ARC or SCC. 

For anyone who accepted enrollment in the Spring 2020 program: have you received any confirmation or up date on whats next? Since we're delayed a semester it seems like there is no immediate follow-up. Do we just wait until October to hear anything? I emailed my acceptance confirmation because I'm not currently living in the Sacramento area but haven't gotten any type of confirmation that it was definitively received!

I emailed my acceptance the day I got my email and asked for a confirmation. They responded the next day. Maybe follow up with another email requesting confirmation for peace of mind. I am taking pharmacology and medical dosage calculations in the fall to better prepare me and keep me motivated in the mean time. I look forward to meeting you.

Hello everyone!! I wanted to come here and share my story. I was applying to lottery based rn programs (arc, scc and sierra) for 8 years!! I was a qualified applicant for all those times but never got selected. I never gave up on my dream...and I moved to state of Missouri. I was accepted to MSSU BSN program right away. They only look at your grades and there is no TEAS or any other entrance exams. I'm starting my second semester this fall and I'm so happy to be closer to my dream. Don't ever give up!

Would you mind sharing more details about your program?

Tuition for out of state students and is it 4 yrs BSN or 2 yrs?

Do they have accelerated BSN program?

Hi. It is a 4 semester BSN program. They don't have accelerated program where I go but other universities do. I lived here close to a year so I'm a resident and I pay around 4K to 4500 per semester with all the fees included. I absolutely love it! The lowest GPA that was accepted was around 3.5 and nothing else is required. Their NCLEX rate is pretty high too. For more info go to their website. MSSU in Joplin, MO.

Can anyone tell me the email address for the Professor that did orientation? I remember she said to contact her if we have a change of address. Thanks in advance.

Hi guys! Planning on applying next application period for ARC! I believe the next application period is September. Anyone know around how many applications they receive and how many students do they take? Also where could I calculate my points?

Hey there. They get slightly less applicants in the spring than they do the fall. This last application cycle I heard they got around 400 applications, but they don’t publicize how many they get anymore like they used to. Our cohort has 40 students, and they choose 15 alternates as well. Good luck!
