ARC/SCC ADN FALL 2019

Nursing Students School Programs

Hi Everyone!!! I didn't see a thread for Fall 2019, so I figured I'd get the ball rolling. This is my first time applying to both SCC and ARC. I turned in my paper packets on 2/11 and 2/13. SCC updated my status to received this morning. I plan to also apply at Delta, but would really prefer acceptance at ARC or SCC.

I didn't get accepted for SCC Fall 2019 or Spring 2020, BUT CONGRATS to those that did!! It was my first time applying, so I'm still hoping for good news from ARC or maybe even an email saying I am selected as a alternate for SCC. I saw on last year's thread that some folks received denial letters and then a few days later was informed that their status had change to an alternate.

I hope that is true. I got a denial email from SCC.

Does anyone know if there is a way to find out if I did have an error on my application? I applied to ARC and my status says qualified. If I have to apply again to SCC I don’t want to make the same mistake.

If it says qualified, you didn't make any mistakes on your app.

Yes this happened to me last year! But I got called for an alternate spot the first week of December for their spring 19 program and attended their orientation! They called 6 of us as alternates but only had 3 open spots. I wasn’t selected in the end, but obviously 3 others were. The director said they always go through their entire alternate list for the spring semester. A lot can happen between now and next January. I’m holding out hope too, because once again I wasn’t selected. Come on, ARC!

Specializes in RN.

I got accepted to fall 19 at SCC and since I live about 2 hrs away I will be considering moving their if I don’t get into anywhere else. Any suggestions for affordable student housing ? I used to live in sac @ csus but lived in dorms so I have no idea lol

Since SCC does not give the ranking for the Alternates does anyone know how many alternates they usually have . Thank you in advance.

I must have made a mistake on the app because my status never changed to qualified for SCC only ARC. I just want to know what the mistake was so I don’t do it again. Do you know if there’s a way to find out?

Scc doesn’t update anyone’s status to “qualified.” Only ARC does.

Mine still says “received” for ARC. Should I be concerned or is this normal?

@Ellen Korogod Mine still says received for ARC too. This is my first time applying there. I really can’t think what I could have done wrong for my application. Checked it a thousand times and saw a counselor.

They havent sent out acceptance emails, so there is a possibility they are still reviewing apps, but I will contact them to make sure, they might have forgot to update your status

Ok, I never received and acceptance or denial email from SCC, so I must have made a mistake. Not sure what that would have been since I triple checked it.

Did you sent your TEAS results, sometime people forget to do that
