Aquinas College Nursing Program Fall 2013

U.S.A. Tennessee

Published

Hello there!!

Has anyone here applied for Aquinas College's Nursing Program for Fall 2013? Does anyone know how long it takes to hear back? I am a current student there, so I am hoping current students would hear back first? Also, what is considered a good Kaplan Entrance Exam score? I think my application is really good, but I also don't want any surprises!! Any information would be awesome! :)

Thanks!

Sarah

Hey Chris!

I tried to find you on Facebook - no luck!!! I private messaged you my info :)

I'm sorry for the late reply, I must warn you DON'T go to Aquinas their program is horrible. The school sucks, they only care about your money and nothing else. Their Nclex passing rate was in the low 80's for 2012. I know nurses that have graduated and still haven't been able to pass the Nclex. Go to a different school, trust me you won't regret it.

I graduated from Aquinas in 2009 and the program is GREAT! Our Nclex pass rate was 95% and everyone that really wanted a job.......are all working as nurses and several have gone on to get their MSN. If the students you know have yet to pass the Nclex they need to lay blame on themselves....not the instructors or the program. Aquinas gives you everything and more you will need to pass the Nclex and become a successful nurse. You have to be willing to give your 100% as in any nursing program.

Their pass rate is down to 83%...worst in the state according to the boards.

Well, I hate to hear that. I don't know what happened or why it has dropped so low. It was a great program when I was there.

Do either of you mind letting me know what your GPA and KAPLAN score was upon entering? I am just curious if I even have a chance.

Hey tdabney427, I just realized you posted. Hadn't been on in a while since I've been in school! I think my Kaplan entrance score was in the 80's and my GPA wasn't considered the same since I did their re-start program. The re-start program allows you to take one full time semester and they use that GPA to determine your acceptance. I have a pretty good GPA though. I think as long as you're in the 3.2 - 3.5 range you have a great chance - put that's just my personal opinion.

I'm about to graduate in May. I had heard their pass rate had dropped, but I also heard it had come back up. So hard to know. I can definitely let y'all know if I pass the NCLEX though! Will be here in NO TIME! Good luck :)
