APU 2 + 2 nursing prgram

Hello, I have applied to apu for their fall 2021 program. I would love to hear from others who are in the same process. This whole waiting game is pretty intense. 

Cum GPA: 3.50 

science GPA: 4.00

Hey vian, sorry to hear about that. Definitely reapply. Question, did you get your denial letter today? My advisor keeps telling me that they’re closed on Fridays?. Also, my friend that got accepted said that there’s people in her cohort with NO medical background. So I don’t know how they are selecting people.

Oh my mistake, I haven't received a actual letter, but from the web "Your decision is ready".

I wonder what do they mainly focus on. It would be nice if I get to know some feedback. Not sure if I should rewrite the essay.

Hello, Vian. It wouldn’t hurt to get certified as A CNA. I’m considering in doing phlebotomy.  I know a lot of student who didn’t have any healthcare experience and still got accepted. 
Im still waiting on my decision, I still haven’t received anything. When did you know about your decision. I don’t understand why they don’t send out decisions to everyone at the same time. ?
I would definitely look over the essay.

I was also considering phlebotomy too. I should consider either one. I actually found out yesterday. At least you still have a hope. Good luck!!

Yeah I hate that they don’t provide feedback as to why your application was rejected. Even if the feedback is “we had more qualified candidates than we did space” I still would like to know.

Hey guys! I just want to let you know that I called my advisor and was told it can take another 1-3 weeks possibly. I hope we all find out this week if we got accepted or not ... I’m praying for y’all

Hello, I emailed my advisor as well. He said they’re still finalizing decisions. Still praying & keeping my faith. Let’s keep praying guys. Good Luck to you all. ❤️❤️❤️ 
No matter what happens we’re all going to be nurses soon. ??❤️

Thank you so much for updating us but wow! Another 1-3 weeks!? School starts on the 30th of August??‍♀️. It almost wouldn’t be fair to notify people that late in the game considering the big checklist of things that we will need to submit before starting if we’re accepted. Praying that you guys hear back but I’m moving on to other schools. This is upsetting. Everyone have a blessed day.

Hello!

Does anyone know how APU calculates their cumulative GPA for 2+2 transfers? Does the school only use the transferable units or all units? I spoke with a counselor but she seemed unsure and “thought” it was all college coursework.  Just wanted to see if anyone has any insight from their own experiences.

I have a BA from eons ago and wasn’t serious about school back then.  I have over 60 units of coursework from 2018 to present with an almost 4.0. Unfortunately, if all coursework is included in their calc, I would still be below their 3.0 minimum.
