APU LVN to BSN Spring 2021

Published

Has anyone else applied for APU LVN to BSN program or is in the process of applying? I know the deadline is October 1st. I thought I'd start a forum.

Amen to that! The beauty of it is that there is more to nursing than just Kaiser. So many opportunities out there for nurses. Other places are becoming more competitive.

Honestly that’s what I told myself yesterday. I got in and it made me realize there was so much more to nursing than just that. Being there for the past 4 months has been absolutely exhausting. So I also think this was Gods way or showing me there’s more out there. Thank you for that confirmation! ?

I got in to the HD campus. SB was my first choice but that’s OK, as long as I got accepted, that’s what matters. Congrats to all who were accepted.

Same here! Maybe we can get together for study sessions!

That is great! You got your first choice. Honestly at this point, I would've gone anywhere.

Hello! Has anyone got the email about books, registration, my castle branch and uniforms? I have questions LOL

I got an email today to rsvp for the orientation on December 7.. they said it was for all locations and virtual. I’m assuming that’s when we’ll know more about books, uniform, etc. do you guys know if they’re still virtual or if they have in person classes?

I got an email today to RSVP for orientation as well. I think they’ll go into details about all this at the orientation.

Okay, I was trying to make my account for my castle branch but was confused on what to put cause the email says to put azusa location. IDK if I should wait.

I think classes are virtual. Is anyone attempting to test out of pharmacology or nutrition?

Hey, I am not starting in the Spring, however, I am planning on applying to some programs in the fall. I do work part time. Do you have an idea on the scheduling? Is it doable with work? Are you getting credit for your LVN license? How long is the program if you do get credit for having an LVN license?

Hey there! I am currently a 3rd semester student in the LVN-BSN program. Most of the students including myself still work. I would recommend a job with flexibility as our schedule changes often depending on clinical availability and whatnot. COVID has made it even more challenging. I currently work 2-3 days a week which I think is perfect. The program is 6 concurrent semesters long so 2 years in length. You do not get credit for your LVN license.
