So the deadline for Azusa Pacific's ELM program is just a couple days away!
Any other fellow applicants out there? I was wondering if the March 1st deadline is strictly for a Spring 2015 start date, or if there's any possibility of an earlier start? January of next year just seems soooo far away.
Sandy - Agreed! It was such a nice perk to find out.
Meech - I am leaning towards Azusa because I find that the 20:1 student to teacher ratio is really attractive. I learn better in settings with a close knit community and a really caring teacher! Also as mentioned above, I'm really excited to hear about them offering a BSN after 2 years so that students can start working (they're encouraged to) so upon graduation with an MSN, you'd actually have useable experience! Plus living 15 minutes from campus just works out so much easier. I can't fathom sitting in traffic for hours a day when I'm already exhausted from school/clinicals.

Yeah I definitely like the smaller class size. It feels like it's just easier to learn. Getting a BSN is really appealing to me too. It will only help you during your job search since some entry level programs (like Western) don't award a BSN, only a master's. Heard there are hospitals that only (or mostly) take in RN's with BSNs, so that helps too.
Hi guys, I wanted to ask I have hearing that job search is a bit more difficult for MSN than BSN (unless the MSN is in a specialized field) since most places rather hire BSN than general MSN since BSN can do most work of general MSN?
Also, regardless of BSN or MSN, I heard that it's just really difficult to get a position in a hospital (going from the outside) and already working there or something (or unless you know someone there)?
Hi everyone! I received an email this afternoon from APU that states
"We wanted to let you know that we have updated your APU Network Account to reflect your Graduate Student affiliation with APU" and I was given an email account information. Does this mean I got accepted ? When I looked at my status of my application it states that my application is complete and does not show my acceptance. I don't want to get my hopes up. Did everyone get this email today ? Thanks in advance. :)
I believe they said they're starting to meet this week in order to make decisions. The results should be out around May 15th. (This is from the Azusa/Monrovia main campus.) I also received that email though, I believe it is so you could access student ID and make payments.. I'm not sure what else it would be for as of yet!
Hi everyone,
Congratulations to those who have been notified for being accepted!
@By1stgrace,
I also received that email--- have you figured out what it means? My sister n law is a accounting graduate student at apu and she received that same email before an acceptance letter so im hoping it means a good thing! It says graduate student affiliation with APU- Let me know once you receive an acceptance email or letter!

Did you guys know that APU gives you your second bachelors after the first 2 years of school?? I found that out during my interview and it makes the program all the more appealing!
