Hi @nemanja I think the interview went well! The questions I were asked were why nursing? Why APU? The difference between nursing and an NP and the rest were situational questions. How do you deal with conflict? Tell me a time you made a mistake and how you fixed it, things like that. Then they went over my classes and my grades. It was pretty short and lasted about 30 minutes. I did not have a writing prompt however which I was confused about because I’ve read other previous cohorts did so I don’t know if they decided to just omit it or what. Good luck at your interview!

Thanks, this is incredibly helpful! Wishing you the best of luck!
Hey guys! I applied for Summer 2021 but got accepted for fall 2021. It was my second time applying, feel free to ask any questions! Some stats about myself: I had a 3.5 non science GPA and a 3.2 science GPA, I’ve worked for 5 years as an emergency veterinary technician and volunteered in a nursing unit for 1 year. This just goes to show that grades don’t mean everything! They are definitely look for genuine, well rounded people. Good luck to everyone and I’m looking forward to our future cohort!
Hi guys I applied to the SD campus for fall 2021! I also had my interview through Zoom on Monday. Some of the questions were situational type questions which I related them to working at my job as an MA. Some of the questions were Why APU? Why nursing at this time? Why do you want to become a nurse/NP? Explain a time where there was a conflict/how did you resolve it? Explain a time where you made a mistake and how was it fixed? What are your top 3 strengths and weaknesses? My interview was also around 30ish mins. They did give me a writing prompt that I did after the interview and they gave me around 20 mins to type a summary of the article and email back to my interviewer so just be prepared Incase they want you to do it. Overall I think it went well so now we wait!
@Monique CNA That is weird! I think it depends on the interviewer. She told me during the interview that she’d email me a prompt so if your interviewer didn’t mention it then they didn’t want one.

I've been seeing many applicants being accepted for the fall 2021 and even Spring 2022 cohorts when they applied for the Summer 2021 start date. Do you know why so many applicants are being accepted into later start dates for APU? Did they tell you why you were being deferred to the fall 2021 start date?

This is a forum for those who applied to APU ELM Fall 2021 program! I applied to the main campus.
Just received an email to schedule an online interview - anyone else?
