Agreed! Compared to other ELM programs, WesternU for example, it's 2 yrs for an MSN but you're required to work 1 yr before going back to school for a post-master's NP Program for another 1-2 yrs.. so total it's about the same as APU give or take.
Also, can I just make sure something about APU's ELM program. So upon completion of the program, you're guaranteed a BSN degree, an MSN degree, and an NP certificate? -- the BSN part confuses me a little bit but just want to make sure that students would still receive the MSN as well? And the entirety of the program is 5 yrs?

Yup! That part confused me too. But yes after the first completion which takes about two years, you get a BSN and then you go into the MSN program and the NP is a certification. Takes about 5 years depending on how many classes you take at once for your MSN. Other schools like UCLA and UCI, you get an MSN after you complete the master entry program.

After some digging, I found that after 2 yrs of the pre-licensure BSN portion, students would take the NCLEX, pass, then they will move onto the MSN portion. From watching the informational meeting, they mentioned that they "feel confident" in awarding students the BSN, so that's why APU does that differently than other programs.
Actually.. the BSN is awarded after/during semester 4 - after you complete clinical rotation, inpreparation for the NCLEX, the MSN is awarded after Advanced clinical completion and RN NCLEX ( completion of prelicensure portion of program) .. the NP depending on specialty chosen is given after 2- 5 years from start date of program ( successful completion)...and a friendly reminder the lowest grade you can achieve is a B in classes.
