APU ELM Fall 2018

Published

Hello Everyone :)

I am looking to apply for the Fall 2018 ELM program at APU. I'll be done with my bachelors early 2018 and finishing up Organic Chemistry before I submit my application. I'm making this post to see where other people are at looking to apply and we all can help each other out if needed. Good luck to everyone :)

Congrats on everything! I hope your interview went well! I am still waiting patiently for a call on my end. For anyone still waiting, be patient and just think about how far we have come to get to this point. I am praying for each and every single one of you. Positive vibes!

Have you done any follow up e-mails or phone calls? That might help to find out where you are in the process :)

I have been in close contact with Cori for the past few months, she told me that they will be making calls for interviews this week! Do you mind telling us how the interview went? Did they go over the point scale, program, time they are looking into notifying us? Anything helps! :)

To those of you who were called for interviews, were they all for the SD campus? I applied to Azusa main campus, my program rep said they would be calling typically by the first 2 weeks in November.

@ftrprovider Are you sure???? It's already the 2nd week of November and I still haven't received a call :(

Does anyone know if they give decline email/call??

@NursingSanDiego he said typically but he said to start to worry if not by Thanksgiving...

From what I gathered from reading past forums is that San Diego seems to be more ahead in the interview process, but could be mistaken. Don't lose hope!

Hello everyone!

For those that have applied to main campus, has anyone gotten a called back for an interview? It's already close to Thanksgiving.

Thanks!

@teambat

Still waiting to hear back. Last time I checked in with main campus, they said they had not started the review process. That was one week ago today.

Anyone else hear anything from main campus this week?

I applied to the main campus and haven't heard anything..im starting to lose hope :\

I applied for main campus too but my application is still not completed. I know it may have something to do with my bachelor degree which I got from another country but it is so worrisome because it's been almost 3 weeks since I turned it in :/ good luck to us all!

Awww no! :( I had a similar problem last time I applied. I applied for Summer 2018 and I did a summer abroad program and those transcripts didn't arrive until a month later after the deadline. I didn't get no interview and my application was denied. I really hope the department doesn't do this to you. I was really upset because prior to the deadline I kept asking the admissions department what exactly I was missing because my application was incomplete and they would respond but they would avoid my questions. I had to keep insisting until they finally told me exactly what I was missing. I was so disappointed with the whole process. This time around I tried confirming with the department if my application was complete by the deadline and I know I did submit everything on time but I got an email after the deadline that my application was complete. I simply wanted to know if everything was complete by the deadline and they couldn't even answer my question. I've had no luck with the admissions department. From what I've read from other forums, other applicants receive better responses from the admissions department.

Also, I was looking through APU elm fall 2017 forum and many applicants had interviews after Thanksgiving up until the first two weeks of December. So, let's not lose hope. The admissions department has told me in the past that some people don't get an interview but still get in but I honestly think they're not being honest. If you look through other forums - many applicants have stated that you need the interview because APU has a grade point system. Also, all applicants have also done a writing prompt.
