APU ELM Fall 2016

Hi All!

I am applying this year to Azusa Pacific University (Inland Empire Regional Center) this fall to start Fall of 2016. I was surprised that I couldn't find a thread for Fall 2016 Applicants so I decided start one for us. Here we can discuss/ask about our application or interview process or anything else relevant to this.:)

If anyone has called the office, can you let us know what they told you!

I really want to know what is going on because the wait is driving me crazy!

Which office location are you referring to?

I'm sorry to hear that! I'm beginning to think I will also be denied. Things happen for a reason, maybe there's a better option for you (and me) out there.

This was the only school that gave me a chance as far as an interview and I just feel really defeated now. They told me I had to re take Psych (which I am currently doing) but now its like I have to start all over again. I dont get it. I have plenty work and volunteer experience, clinica experience, and good LORs. Im just thinking of applying to ABSN programs and see where that may take me. I know my gpa isnt the greatest but I just need a program to take a chance on me!

Why do you have to retake psych?

does the letter state why you weren't accepted? You should consider calling them. They were interested enough to give you an interview, that's a good indication you have what it takes to be a competitive student.

ABSN is also a good choice!! Best of luck!

I believe the letters are going out for the IE campus. I haven't called that office, but you should consider calling your program program representative. They should hopefully help you out. I called mine and she said she didn't have the list of who's officially accepted. Sounds pretty strange. In any case, I'm here waiting everyday to receive the mail.

I have a C- originally (mind you, took this class 5 years ago) Didnt know it wasnt passing and I guess it's not. But yeah...gonna re take this and hopefully I have a better chance next round. And yeah ABSN just to give myself more options. It's another backword route (my end goal is to become a FNP).

My mail was sent on Feb 4th so maybe yours should be coming in tomorrow.

Oh wow, I had no idea a C- was not a passing grade either. Is this for Psych 1 or for Human Growth and Development?

I am also interested in FNP. I will go the ABSN route too if I don't get in. I'm literally 30 mins away from the main campus. It's so hard to believe I have not received anything in the mail.

I didnt either. It was a shock to me too. And its for Psych 1.
