APU 2+2 BSN program Summer 2022 Admissions

Published

Hi All

I created this thread to see if anyone else is applying to Azusa‘s 2+2 BSN program, either at their Monrovia location, high desert location, or inland empire location?

I have already sent in my application for the Feb 1st cut off.

Here are my stats

Science GPA: 3.53

Total GPA: 3.79

This is all based on me using a GPA calculator online.

I am not sure if my health care and volunteer experience will help but I did put it on my resume.

Volunteer: 10 months at Loma Linda Hospital

Health Care 10 years ( Caregiver then MA)

I am curious to see how everyone else is feeling, which location y’all are planning to apply to and what your stats are.

Hey! I also applied to the Summer session start for the High desert location and have already sent in my application.

My stats are

Science GPA: 3.36

Cumulative GPA: 3.67

this is all based on the evaluation from APU prior to sending in my app! I have 2 years of experience working as an LVN in home health care and private school nursing. I hope my experience in the field will help increase my chances of acceptance! Good luck to those of you who are also applying!

Hi I also applied. My scores are not that high. Has anybody received letters yet?

@SUN-DMC I haven’t heard anything back yet. However my advisor said we should be hearing back 8-10wks after deadline so maybe end of March! Which campus did you apply to?

@Lynnly214 High Desert campus. I also applied at VVC.

I applied for IE campus. Still haven’t heard anything from the school. I don’t know how competitive this term will be though

Hello! I applied to the LVN to BSN program before the deadline Feb 1st. I haven’t heard back yet so I’m anxiously waiting. This will be second time applying. I applied in October 2021 and received a denial letter NOV 12th 2021. So I’m really praying that I get in this time.

@SUN-DMCWhen I applied last year in October my Admission Rep said usually if you get a letter in the mail it’s not a good thing because they only mail out denials and will call and  send acceptance letter via email instead. Not sure if that is still the same. However, I did receive a denial letter in NOV 2021 when I applied. Really hoping to hear back soon!

Thank you Eileen for your info. Are you confident with your GPA this time? It’s kinda nerve racking when they don’t give a clear criteria of how they choose us. My GPA is 3.88 but still not sure what to expect.

I didn’t retake any classes since I my last application. I have all As and 3 Bs, not sure on the GPA. It’s tough not knowing why they don’t accept you since they don’t give any feedback on what you need to improve on. My rep did tell me he doesn’t think it was my grades, so I tweaked my personal statement a bit. I keep checking my usps dashboard hoping I don’t receive anything in the mail from them. ?

Anyone hear anything back yet?

No, I checked my mailbox yesterday and didn’t see any APU mails. I also applied for ADN in MtSac. They will send out invitation tomorrow so hopefully apu will notify us soon too.
