APU 2+2 BSN program Spring 2022 Admissions

Nurses LPN/LVN

Published

Hello, future RNs!

This is a thread for the APU 2+2 BSN program Spring 2022 admissions.

I'm finishing up my application for APU's LVN to BSN program. I wanted to start a thread for this topic and connect with others applying to APU by the October 1st, 2021 deadline.

Good luck to everyone!

I hated Sally mae..I'm going to try my credit union if my aid package requires me to go outside of the federal ones

I know they have nursing scholarship at APU that you can apply..I'd ask about those

May I ask what was bad about sallie Mae? They partially approved me for a loan but I need a co-signer. Is the process pretty harsh?

I found a Youtube review about the worst and best lenders. Sallie Mae was the worst due to customer experience, hidden fees and other things. The guy recommended lend key as the best one.

I'm still doing my research though ?

Nice! Wow thanks. No one likes hidden fees. May definitely take that into consideration. Research is definitely key.

The process is not harsh, it's the hidden/wording/fine point..this is my personal experience and not listed In any specific order: 1) the re-payment is set-up in a manner that you are paying the interest 1st, regardless if you pay a little more each month, it doesn't go to the principal amount..I have fought with them for months on it, so basically your paying the APR and that's why your loan is like 30 years, 2) the APR is variable, and they however notify  you of the yearly changes, 3) its a set amount, each month and not based on finances, 4) you ask for a grace period and not knowing that when that grace period expires the majority has to be paid to be updated, 5) if your late on payment, they will report you to the credit bureau 6) its a bill; however, only live cash payments are accepted ie bank transactions

For anyone who's going to Monrovia, the director says she put info about uniforms. I still can't find that info. Not sure if I'm the only one.

Did she provide a link? I'd email her to please provide link since the website is unclear..

I found information regarding uniforms under Monrovia UDTP, Things to Do Catagory:

"We will have the uniform representative here for Orientation day. We will have samples available for you to try on and check the size and styles. Dove uniforms is the company that our uniforms are made with our embroidered, APU School of Nursing patch on the shirt. They offer a lab coat however, that is not required. During clinicals, you may wear a long sleeve crew neck shirt under your uniform top. It has to be either black or white in color. The scrubs will be required wear for any time during your clinical time or skills lab. Please be prepared to purchase the uniform on the day of Orientation. The deadline for ordering is December 3, 2021. Below you will find an information sheet about the different styles."

Thank you! The school had to send me a separate one since for some odd reason it won't let me view the documents. I hate to bother you but you think you can upload the one about textbooks? That's the only one I can't view now ?

I'm assuming this doesn't apply to the IE site?
