April/May 2008 Grads....still looking? whose working and how's it going?

I graduated in May 2008, actually school finished in April but our ceremony wasn't until May lol. Anyhoo, it took me until this Feb to get a job offer and I start in June (relocating to another state). How are other Arpil/May grads doing?

Where are you located? I ended up having to expand my search to the entire eastern US, east of the Mississippi.....seriously. I kid you not, I applied to IN, OH, VA, NC, SC, GA, AL, FL, IL, and several others I forget at the moment.

If your able to relocate to another state, it wouldn't hurt to apply. Start with the states closest and expand out as necessary...if you can. It took me until Feb of this year to get a job offer.....so IT WILL HAPPEN!!!!

I live in MA and finally just got a job offer in DC that starts in July. So thankful to finally be offered a job and so excited to start!!!

Anyone still looking, because I still am and it is beyond depressing, I've applied everywhere and still nothing.

I am in MI I graduated in May...still looking. I take NXLEX in less then 2 weeks so hopefully jobs will be opening up after that.

I think our state has one of the worst job markets for new RNs. I think we are #1 for unemployment, too. :(

I think you are right...I have had 1 interview only! Hoping for a call back or more interviews...nothing yet!
