I was just wondering but what are my chances of being accepted if my cumulative GPA is a 3.45, my pre-req is a 3.60? My composite score was a 70...
I'm taking my last required science and also Pharmacology 203 right now. Would taking the additional pharm 203 class (not required for Fall) help me?
Do I have a chance??
I called the student services of nursing and the lady said that letters may be mailed by the end of April.
Btw, Just to let you people know, the admission requirements for spring 2010 and after has changed. I just checked the uh manoa nursing website and they changed the acceptable nursing entrance exams, which is down to only the NLN. They won't be doing the NET anymore which sucks cause the NLN is harder, and I only scored a composite of 111!!!!
Yea I talked to the admissions people too, they said we should hear something by the end of april or early may. They also said the admission process this semester was kinda intense, that's why we haven't received letters confirming they've gotten our app. I wish they would at least let us know they've received it though. :/
I'm kinda confused by the new admission requirements. By what I've seen, new applicants aren't required to take Chem 151/152?? They're listed as an elective and a DP... I'm very confused. At least apps are due a month earlier, then everyone will find out sooner.
My bad...The new admission requirements is in effect for fall 2010 and after...I also saw the "general elective and DP courses" as chem 151/152 and it does seem confusing.
Wow...there must be a lot of applicants since they're really busy...I need to bring my gpa up and reapply for spring 2010 cause I don't think I'm gonna get in for fall '09...

More like breaking in new staff. This is Chetana and Tiana's first semester with the nursing program. I have no clue who handled our apps last semester (for spring 2009) but they didn't even have a real pre-nursing advisor when people were going in w/ questions.
So yea. Lots of shuffling around. Sucks they got rid of Kate..

KCC is supposed to add a healthcare experience component to their admission critera. idk if it got added yet though. it kept getting delayed b/c of the whole approval process things hafta go through to actually get it added.
