Hey everyone,
I just submitted my application to the traditional BSN program at UC Denver and I thought it might be useful to get a thread going. I am super nervous and excited about the process! How are others feeling?
I read that the interview dates are tentatively scheduled for November 15th...does anyone know when we should expect to hear if get invited for the interview?
Hello everyone. I am currently a student at CU, I was admitted in the Summer 2014 cohort. I was in your exact same position a year ago! I know you are all probably curious about what will happen tomorrow, but the biggest piece of advice I can give you is to BE CONFIDENT and be yourself. Admissions is looking for individuals who can communicate appropriately, accurately, and are confident in what information they are conveying. There really is no other way to prepare, you all have gotten this far, just be confident in your abilities. In terms of admission statistics, I would agree with what Mendoali1982 said...expect about 100-150 individuals to be admitted. If you don't get in, its not the end of the world...apply again if CU is where you want to be! Another student in our cohort said she applied 5 times...persistence can pay off!
Good luck tomorrow!
So now that interview day is officially over, how did everyone feel about it?
Did anyone else feel like the interview was short? I thought it was an interesting group exercise and definitely not as intimidating as I had imagined. I love that they put candy out, not that I took any, but I thought it was really sweet! Unfortunately after all the information sessions I now want to go to the school even more than I had originally wanted...is it January yet?!
It was interesting for sure how the interview process went! I felt like I spoke enough, made the interviewers laugh and made sure I worked with my fellow interviewees well. I actually could not have asked for better people to do the interview with, they were all amazing and hope they all get in as well. If it is meant to be it will happen otherwise I will just brush myself off and try again...but of course want to be accepted :). Good luck to everyone. It seems like they will be accepting about half that interviewed so the odds are actually pretty awesome compared to years before if I understood them correctly.
