Applying to UC Denver for Summer 2015

Hey everyone,

I just submitted my application to the traditional BSN program at UC Denver and I thought it might be useful to get a thread going. I am super nervous and excited about the process! How are others feeling?

I read that the interview dates are tentatively scheduled for November 15th...does anyone know when we should expect to hear if get invited for the interview?

Will your school allow you to take A&P 2 & Micro together. I remember asking the same thing, and I was not allowed. Hope your school will work with you. My situation was in the summer too!!!

Thanks, teatime88! I am originally from TX, but I just moved to the Denver area in August. CU is the only school I applied to so I really hope it works out! In the email in stated "interview exercises" which makes me wonder if they are doing group problem solving exercises that they did one year rather than the normal group panel interviews. What are your thoughts?

Also it mentioned two different learning centers, Anschutz and the school in Parker. I wonder if they are going to have a larger cohort due to more classroom space.

Has anyone heard anything about getting an interview today? Or were all the e-mails sent out Friday? Congrats to everyone who has been invited for an interview!

It's a group interview, group exercise, and a lecture which happened last year.

There is a larger cohort - part of which will be going to a new south location campus.

arielmhod - The notifications that went out Friday said those were from the first round and they would be reviewing applications this week. Good luck!

Does anyone know what type of exercises they might have us do? I have looked through a lot of threads on here and only found interview questions that each person in the group answered, but no information about group activities. I remember reading on the old website a while back that they might have us work out how to do something together, but it isn't on the site anymore.

Hey everyone,

i just got my interview invite via email today. I was sure that I wouldn't receive anything until the very last day because of when I submitted it! Whew! Has anyone thought of creating a Facebook page for fellow interview participants? Just a thought. It might be a good way to get to know each other and prepare for the big day...good luck to everyone who is still waiting on an email!
