Just dropped the application in the box at nursing dpt. on south campus. Good luck to everyone who's doing the same thing, and :bowingpurGod bless you all!
I got "A"s in all of my pre-requites, and alright score on my TEAS test, 85 national, and 85 regional. My grammar part of TEAS wasn't the best since I am an ESL, which is why my percentile isn't in the 90s. But hopefully I will be able to get in, after all, TCC is the only school I applied, I feel good about it.
Anyone else is out there?

I am heartbroken. I got a rejection letter. I don't understand. I scored an 86.5 on the TEAS and had an overall GPA of 3.88. Im not really sure what to do at this point.
Hey, don't get discouraged, did you finish ALL of your pre-reques? If not, finish them, then I am sure you will get in! Trust me!
Hey there. This is what I know about the scoring system, it goes something like this. The teas counts for 11% science, 10% Math, 8% Reading, and English 8%. Then your science gpa accounts for 40%. The remaining 23% or so (I beleive it goes above 100%) goes towards the non-science pre reqs with psychology weighted the heaviest for that section. I hope this helps. It's too complicated to go by your overall scores. I've heard you can meet with an advisor and they will go over your individual status.
Also, in regards to an earlier post from mmrush about Jonell Mitchell. I know it is frustrating and disappionting to recieve incorrect information especially when your life's plan is at stake. The same happened to me, so I asked several people over and over again and Ms. Mitchell was one of them. She had just lossed her husband and seemed a little scattered. So I guess my point is we are all human.
Gizzycat,My GPA was a little higher, but my overall TEAS score was a little lower than yours. Did you complete the new math requirement? It seems like there must be something missing?
When you do your degree audit on webadvisor, what did it say about your MATH?
This is what my says; "Math:... Exemption ETPOC Tran-Private/Out-of-stat 12/15/04"
This is what my wife's says: "Math:... Passed Initial Test MAPS - Math for TASP/THEA 08/01/99 617"
As far as the math's, I took College Algebra and made an A. I am asking them to review my application at this point. I do have one class left that I would have to finish in the Summer-the 1164 PHED requirement, but I did not think that the PE class would hold me back. 3.75 average on the required sciences, 3 A's and a B (Microbiology was a summer course and I worked a lot of overtime during that class). I am also considering UTA at this point. If I take a Governement during the Summer and three more classes in the Fall I would have all of my prereqs for UTA (I had several other courses complete in addition to those required for TCC). It almost makes more sense to go to UTA for 2 years and 3 months and end up with a bachelor's vs. 2 years at TCC and coming out with an AAS.
I called to get more info on the alternate list and they informed me that I am #3 on the list and that getting a call is a possibility. I have my fingers and toes crossed.
Quick question for those accepted. Did you get a list of books that needed to be purchased and supplies that are needed? I am trying to figure things out so I can be prepared. Thanks

:rcgtku: Zhen Thanks for adding me to your prayers list. I can use all the prayers I can get.
Congrats to you for getting in.
I appreciate the information. I am such a planner so this application time has been really trying for me to stay sane. Now I can be somewhat prepared as to what I will need when or if I get the call.
